Tom Cares, CIC

Principal/President

Tom has been with the agency since 1993. He graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. After graduation, he worked in the Mutual Fund industry for a few years before entering the insurance industry. He is a licensed, independent insurance agent with 29 years of experience and currently holds a Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Tom started in sales at E.A. Stevens selling both personal and commercial insurance and now as one of the owners, he not only sells but changes the light bulbs! Part of owning a small business. He loves the business and helping to educate and protect clients. In addition to spending time with his nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces, he loves the outdoors. Biking, boating, golf, and skiing to name a few!

Kelly Watrous, CPCU, CIC

Principal/Vice President

Kelly is one of the agency owners and has been with E.A. Stevens since 2004. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree in 1997. After graduation, she worked in the advertising and marketing field for 7 years in Boston and San Francisco. In 2004 she joined the agency as a Commercial Account Manager working under her father and prior President, Mike Clifford. Kelly is a licensed P&C, Life and Health agent, holds both the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Certified Insurance Counselor designations and has over 18 years in the business. She really enjoys working with clients in an ever-changing industry to ensure their assets are always protected. Kelly resides in Middleton with her husband Chris, two children Catherine and Chase, and two fur friends Lucy and Callie! She spends all of her personal time at her kids sporting events, on the slopes, or up at their lake house in NH!

Michelle Faria

Operations Manager

Michelle joined E.A. Stevens in May of 2017 as the Operations Manager overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency. Her primary responsibilities include Accounting, Human Resources and IT. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. Michelle also obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Rivier University. Michelle has over 30 years of accounting experience working in various industries throughout her career. She resides in Middleton with her husband. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys traveling, shopping and spending time with family & friends.

David J. Vater, CIC, CISR

Producer

David has been with the agency since 1995. He graduated from Merrimack College with a Bachelor in Science degree in Accounting. He worked for Putnam Investments briefly before entering the insurance industry. He is a licensed, independent insurance agent with over 27 years of experience and currently holds both the CIC and CISR designations. When he is not assisting his clients, Dave coaches several of his children’s sports, including a softball and a hockey team.

Teresa DeVirgilio, CISR

Personal Lines Supervisor
Teresa is our Personal Lines Supervisor and has been with E.A. Stevens since 2005. She has over 30 years of experience which serves her clients well and is our resident expert in all lines of personal insurance. Teresa has earned her CISR Elite designation and is always keeping up on the latest industry trends and changes. In her spare time, she enjoys touring antique shops with her husband and going to tea with her daughter. She also enjoys shopping and reading. Teresa adores her dog Bolina and her cat Bruno.

Bernadette M. McGlynn-Davis, CPCU

Commercial Lines Supervisor

Bernadette has been with E.A. Stevens since 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Bernadette holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation as well as a P&C license. With many years of insurance experience, Bernadette delights in working with her clients and recommending coverages that are tailored for their specific needs. Bernadette enjoys vacationing at the Cape and Islands with family, theater excursions with friends, visiting historical sites and gardening.

Lee Ann Robbins

Personal Lines Account Manager

Lee Ann joined the agency in 2014 and has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She enjoys the business, providing her clients with exceptional service and educating them along the way. In her spare time, she loves cooking, trying new restaurants, the beach, going to Foxwoods, shopping, and riding with her hubby on their Harley. The two are proud parents of their Maine Coon, Muffin.

Adrienne Spear, CISR

Personal Lines Account Manager

Adrienne has been working with the agency since 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. She has earned her CISR Elite designation and is always looking for new classes to attend to further her knowledge. She is a mother of three adult daughters and grandmother to six wonderful grandkids. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, camping, and spending time with family.

Courtney Connolly

Personal Lines Account Manager

Courtney joined our agency in 2018 and has been in the business for just over 8 years. She is one of our Personal Lines Account Managers working out of our Middleton office. Still getting her feet wet, she is eager to learn and further her knowledge in the industry. Outside of the office she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and Mexican hairless/terrier mix Boomer!

Lori Curreri, CISR

Personal Lines Account Manager

Lori joined E.A. Stevens in 2019. She has over 32 years of personal lines experience and holds the CISR Elite designation. She brings to our agency a wealth of knowledge and enjoys meeting new clients every day. Outside of the office, she enjoys the beach, antiquing, reading, art and spending time with her family and friends, including her 4-year-old lab.
